Default Pomme Report 12/31 and 1/1

Had the opportunity to head out and do some crappie fishing the last couple of days.

Friday - The bite was fast and furious. We caught several fish in just a few hours. The fish were on the brushpiles along bluffs, just tap your jig into the top of the brush and bam! Fished 15-25 fow.

Saturday - A harsh cold front came through making it cold while the bite slowed down. Started after lunch and struggled for the first two hours to find a pattern and active fish. Didn't expect to catch very many with frontal conditions but did expect to catch a few. Finally found the fish down in the brush, only had about a 2 hrs of daylight left when we finally found them. Three of us ended up with 25 nice crappie and a bonus walleye. They were not biting very fast or hard but we did manage to catch several. Had a great time with a couple of friends who I don't fish with near enough.

All fish were caught on jigs, color - blue disco, limerald disco, white w/ blue flake, ghost blue, bluegrass.

Dave hope you enjoyed the fishing, you're welcome in my boat anytime!

Hey JJ, hope things are going well. Yes I did put in a Nemo, was hoping to get out of the wind but it didn't help much. I normally fish the Pomme arm in the winter but I heard Bolivar Landing was iced over.

Brad, had a great time with you.We will have to do it again soon. Also thanks for the jigs, they were great to fish with.Fish seemed to like them also.Gave Frank a lure from Kenny to match the color. When are you going to put them on the market? After the word gets out you might have to quit fishing just to keep up with your orders, lol thanks again.
