good job u, i had too much family to fish so far this weekend, maybe tomorrow. i recognize where your at by the picture and we have been catching them straight across the creek on the west bank. good pics thanks for sharing.
Well, the goose hunting has been sub-par to this point for us, so dad, bro, and I decided to take advantage of a 60 degree December day and try to find a few on our home lake.
As most experienced Sunday morning.......... it was a wet and stormy one. Here's what we were in the middle of as we sat at the ramp waiting for the big stuff to blow over.
With all of the snow melt and added rain, there was quite the runoff!
Gotta have patience and along with that, you have to be confident in your decisions (fishing v. hunting) but man were we tempted by mother nature. The ducks and geese were EVERYWHERE!
We finally got on the water, fished Lick Creek and Dry Fork to start with but they didn't want to cooperate. Headed across the lake to Indian and finally found some hot fish in 30 ft of water, 14-18 ft down. Color didn't seem to matter.
It was a catch and release day, but it sure was a gorgeous day to be out!
Here's to 2011!

A FISH IN THE PAN IS WORTH TWO IN THE LAKE
Catman,
Only saw one other boat out yesterday and thought it might have been you, apparently not though. Which picture are you talking about in particular (Brother is holding the 1 fish, I'm holding 2)? It got too late in the day, otherwise I wanted to head over to the other side (my pic) and fish......sounds like we may have missed out.
Weather looks promising over the next week or so, might be back at it next weekend.
U
Glad to see the ice is off! Might have to get over and fish with a guy we know on the lake.

Great way to start off the new year. Congrats.
Health nuts are going to feel stupid someday, lying in hospitals dying of nothing.
Nice...
Kevin Rogers-
Nice Fish, U. I see the corp. hasn't installed the escalator at Berhen's, yet.
