    Default Could it be?

While fishing yesterday my trolling motor batteries seemed to have died pretty quick. I only used the TM an hour or 2 before I noticed I didn't have much power. I had a fuse blow in the charger once before and figured maybe that happen again and the batteries just were't charged.
Well everything checked out okay so I removed the prop and found a ton of line wrapped on the prop shaft behind the prop shaft. Has anyone had that happen to the point the line robbed that much power from the TM that the batteries just seemed drained?
It sucks fishing with a dead TM.

Occupational hazard, sir. That and killing geese are why try not to leave it even if it ain`t mine...not that OVERLY fond of geese (or DUCKS) for the record think EVERYDAY should be duck season; they ain`t an endangered species anymore and think liked it better when they were!

    Yates....good point (thanks)

I can't find anything else wrong. I've had line under the TM prop before and it never had that much of an effect.

Forgive the knock against our perhaps overly abundant waterfowl; love to night fish a orange "glow" floating head jig with a smallish leech or minnow; all too often have had said waterfowl wheel down and inhale all the above rig and proceed to take flight...and tend to try to recover discarded fishing line left by others...and yes have been there, done that, got the T- shirt with a inoperative TM due to priorly stated reason sir...as said unfortunately a recreational hazard...
