    Question Last day of year smithville


    Fished 8:45 for about 3 hours. W bridge and tried to find brush piles.Got skunked. Wind came up and got colder seemed about 11:00. Me and Kemper654 loaded up came home. First time in my 56 years I have fished on New Years Eve. Happy New Year.

    we must have put in right after you left. caught 1 keeper under the bridge, went into the little cove on south side of bridge try to get out of wind, saw fish on graph but no bites. went to shady cove but was so windy and we were wet from the ride decided to quit.

    Hats off to you guys fishing yesterday, you are a tough lot. I have fished that kind of weather but not in the mood yesterday. Stayed home and enjoyed my recliner and coffee.
