just as a reminder to our membership:

You can receive PM's from other members, or send them to other members. You click on their User name and that brings down a selection window. You can view their Public Profile, send a PM, send an email, or find all posts started/replies by that person. Depending, of course, on whether that person has elected to receive PM's or Email.
That brings me to another item on the boards ... and that is the info box at the top right corner of the forum pages. The one that says:

WELCOME, XXXXXX
You last visited: Today at xxxxAM
Private Messages: Unread x, Total xx

You will note that "Private Messages" is underlined. That's because it is a link to your Private Message "mail room".
Now .... I've said all that to say this: If you have your User CP data set, so that any PM's you receive are connected to your email ... you will receive a email "notice", that you have a PM. You may also get a pop-up notice of a PM, when you log in to this site, or when you come from another site to this one. Take special note of the "Unread" number ... if it's Zero, then you're OK. Any other number would represent the number of PM's that have been sent to you -- that you haven't read/responded to !! You have a max of 50 PM's that you can retain in your PM mail room - sum total of those received & those sent.

EVERYONE .... check your "unread" total !! You might be missing some important info, or you might be missing a chance to help out a fellow Crappie.com member - that chose you to mentor them, because they respect you and your experience or knowledge base.

No need to reply to this post. This is just a "reminder" to all members, old and new, to periodically check for such attempts at contact. And as a reminder to periodically delete old PM's, so that you can receive new ones.
