I have some really small spots and tears in my boat seats that I don't want to get bigger. Has anyone done any patchwork on theirs? How would I fix them and how involved is it?

I put duck tape on a lawnmower seat last year and when it got real hot in summer it made a mess! I probably used some cheap stuff but the glue on the tape got all over you when sitting in the seat!

have seen those "kits" for repairing car seats, they might work as a somewhat permanent fix but have never used one myself.

I meant to behave, but there were just way too many other options available at the time.

The uphostery repair kit at auto stores work. I use it it on my seat two years ago and has worked well on seams and small holes.
