Question Newbie with a question about fishing guides?

I am new to this site (and glad to find it!) so I appoligize if this is an old topic.

Are there any reliable crappie guides that fish the SoCal lakes like Irvine, Diamond Valley, Casitas, etc.?

    Crappiemike,
Thanks for the reply. I would like to go with a guide and gain some wisdom on how to catch crappie with some consistency! I would like to be able to understand what I am seeing on a graph, know what area's to fish and which to avoid, what colors to select for water clarity and how much time to spend in any given spot. There are many books and videos on these subjects, but a day on the water beats any book I have ever read! I think that going with a guide would be the most productive way to learn? Any thoughts???

    Mike,
    I live in Long Beach.
I caught my first fish at the young age of TWO, have spent many years chasing fish from trout to Cow Tuna over 200lbs. The few crappie that I have caught were more exciting than many of the pelagic fish that I have battled. Maybe my Thread Title makes me sound like a rookie but I can assure you that I have the time on the water and the tackle to do the job. I am not looking for someone to h old my hand and tie my hooks for me, but rather someone that will allow me to spend the day with them, share the expenses and wont mind me asking questions. Any help that can be given to help me locate a guide will be greatly appreciated

    Mike,
Thanks for the offer! Sounds like fun....I can go mid week or weekends as my schedule is some what flexible. Let me know when you get the itch to get on the water and I will make myself available. I look forward to meeting you.

    Bruce
