Default Petition For National Senior Citizen Fishing License

    Fishing Petition

Passport America is the only site I know of that has a petition going and they also have a list of your state officials to email it to. They make it very easy to download the petition, fill in your name and any comments you have and email it.

Even if your not a senior citizen, you will be one day and maybe you and your spouse will want to get a RV and travel the country and fish in different states. If the federal governemnt made it possible, they could use the funds from the sale of a national license and re-distribute them back to each individual state for conservation projects.

sounds great to me and I think they would create more money this way because more people would likely buy this than to buy any at all if they know they have to buy for every state they travel.

You are assuming that the "government" has some common sense.

I think all States should follow Kansas when you get to 65 the License is free. Only reduce it to 62 and eliminate all other fees such as trout stamps, extra pole fees and similar fees if any.

I don't agree with a national license neither. We don't need Washington deciding how much money the states should have from a license sale.

Forget it. The government never gives back money collected and will only piddle away the money for whatever the Lobbyists want - Lobbyist's control the government.

Sorry, but I'm not in favor of it. As some have already stated, the government can't manage much of anything properly, so I just can't see those funds distributed fairly or appropriately. Additionally, if this were passed, I have no doubt that the next thing we would hear is that individual states will raise licensing fees for everyone else to compensate for the lost revenues. I have no problem with and support a reduced rate for resident and non-resident seniors.
