    Default Freezing Fish

I wanted to get some good ideas or ways to freeze fish. I have always froze my fish in Gallon ziplock bags with enough water in bag to cover fish. Sometimes fins will poke holes in bag and end up double bagging seems like a waste. I know I could filet but do not always do that. Just looking for more ideas to put in up right freezer considering the room in one.

Vacuum bag your fish and they will do better.

I freeze mine in quart freezer bags. Push the air out while zipping it up, so no air pockets. I think this is the easiest way and have had no bad fish when it came time to fry!

Vacuum seal works good for both whole and filleted fish.

Let me suggest something that seems way too apparent , remove the fins before bagging.

I have found fish in the back of the freezer that were 4yr old. And they were still good. We try to rotate new to the back old up front. But this one got lost somehow. This is the best way to do it.
