The weather for tomorrow is suposed to be in the middle 70,s. Im going to try my beginers luck on some Christmas trees I put out a few weeks back. Do I need to try and anchor up directly above my trees, or should I anchor away from them? Also just for kicks, if I use the trolling motor to go over the spot to see if I detect any fish with my fishfinder will this spook them away? The trees are in 23 ft of water. Im going to be fishing with minnows I bought on the way home today. Any advice? Mitch P-cola Fl

If it were me I would anchor within casting distance and use a couple different depths.
Good luck

I would either do what fishboy said above, or slowly float over the trees to see if the ar on the trees or suspended over them. If they are suspended try a slip float technique. Cast past the trees and slowly work over the trees. You should do pretty well. Good luck and catch a few for me.
