    Default Crankbaits-good read.

I see a lot of thread questions on trolling crankbaits right now. There is a good article on pushing or pulling cranks for crappie in the latest issue of In-Fisherman magazine. After reading this and talking with other fishermen I will be trying the technique this weekend hopefully.

I agree Reelfun I just read that last night. I'm heading up to the lake on Monday and plan on giving it a try. I don't think that I have rods strong enough to do Capps & Coleman idea but I will try Huckabees. If you do anygood let me know likemise I will do the same.

most rods specified as "titelining" and rated for 3-5 oz will troll cranks just fine. but like the article said, planers will many times catch the bigger ones! i have 8-9 ft rods that are "downrigger rods" that work great with planers and are limber enough not to tear large crappie off the hook.
