    Default Nothin picture worthy

But Kenny and i caught a couple limits for my brothers christmas dinner tonight,he said he wanted fish so we went even though it was a bit windy, the fish were mostly 10"-11" fish with a few pushin 12" they were mostly 12'-15' deep buried in the brush but we did catch 6 on our old faithful laydown that is in the back of a creek over about 6' of water, temps ranged from 42-44 with no ice anywhere in pin oak cove.

Sounds great to me. I'd be happy as I could be with a couple of limits of keeper crappie. Congrats, I know your brother will certainly enjoy them.
We do not want the gift of a fish; neither do we expect a lesson on fishing; what we direly need is a chance to fish

Sounds like a good day. Any day with limits has to be good. Is that laydown back in where you whacked them real shallow last Febuary? I remember some pictures that looked like the water shallow enough to walk across and you were catching them real real early spring under a bobber like the spawn was on in real shallow water but the spawn was like 3 months away. Weird how the are sometimes. Like Brian and I catching them 3-4 ft deep under bobbers 2 weeks ago in 5-9 ft of water. Crazy fish. Oh ya and glad my folks are not having fish for Christmas dinner. I would have to order pizza.

Totally different area of the lake this has deep water close by those fish back in feb were on a flat with very little water nearby and they were caught up close and personal with a jigpole these today on the latdown were caught by casting they wouldn't even look at a jig under a bobber, those fish in feb are more fun than when the spawn is on and are the fish i want to get you down here to catch a person can have a blast riggin em early over the channel then grap a jigpole about mid-day and get with it......rather have pizza myself!!!
