Default I think this is fishing related or at least fishing safety related

I for the 4 time in two years broke the inside gromett the black bakelite/plastic insert thingy. getting tire of that, and can not find one with a metal insert. fishing sat, I heard a snap, and the seat started to sway. crap sit still, just glad it happened while waithing for darrell to back the trailer to the water. anyway went to bass pro today and looked for a good base, nothing, so I bought another expensive cheaply made base, going to take the old broken one to the machine shop and see if they can build me an insert out of brass or s/s. have any of you big men had this trouble or it it just the way I sit down so hard causing the problems, sure do not want to fall out of the boat , well not in the winter anyway....

You can buy the replacement inserts both the black nylon or also the brass ones from GrizzlyJig.
I have spent most my life fishing........the rest I wasted.

Never had that happen Beagle, however, mine squeak like crazy when leaning forward or backward. I sprayed them with WD-40 and it worked perfectly.
