Default tell me where to go!!

This will be my first time fishing during the cold weather! I am heading to Pomme (putting in at Wheatland public area) on Wednesday to fish , then Truman(Bucksaw) on Thursday. Can you guys give me any locations to start out from. I am trying to convince my father that cold weather fishing can be just as productive as the rest of the year.

Welcome to the site. I plan on getting to Bucksaw first of the week if ice and wind allow. It was iced over Friday morning haven't had any updates since. Feel free to PM me later in the week. If you are new to winter fishing take extra caution as a trip overboard can be a life threatening situation plus there very few others out there and its rare to find a tow if you have boat problems.

welcome aboard and hope you catchy a bunch, if the fish on pom are like stockton go deep, if they are like truman go deep, or shallow, or inbetween. really, several good truman reports on here and it seems like if there is no ice the pattern hold steady on truman, 10 ft. most of the time. be verry carefull in the cold weather fishing as Kaz stated it can be bad if your not prepared. good luck
