    Default Cutting braid ?

What have you found to be best for cutting braid? Not happy with anything I have used yet.

I think there are special scissors for it, but I use the serrated cutters
in tha back-jaw area of the Rapala forceps - the ones from wally world.
I have passed them to several people to cut braid, and they say they won't
work - I say you got to WANT them to work, push one way with thumb and
the other way with finger, sideways... works for me. Had a pair of sidecutters that worked real well too, till some person (woman) I live with
used them for something they weren't up to, and dulled them

They do make scissors just for that and they work well, but if lucky like I was (before a friend lost them) a regular pair of pliers with side cutter will also some times work. I have several that will not, but one that will.

The scissors are not very costly either.

I use a small pair of surgical scissors I bought at Walgreens for about $4.00. Cheap, stainless, and very sharp.

    Exclamation cutting braid .......

with some of the "utensils" already mentioned, will work ... but, some (even razor blades) can leave the tag end freyed, making it hard to difficult to put the tag end thru a small jighead eye. A pair of Childs Fiskars scissors will cut braid cleanly (and easy). Most any store that has a school or craft dept may have them. I've heard of people buying them for $1-$2 ... and I think I only paid a little over $3 for mine. I suggest getting the blunt ends version, just for the safety factor. I carry mine in a single sided Plano tackle "tray" (9"x14"x2") ... the Childs Fiskars scissors I have are 5" long and 2" wide - and fit easily in this tackle tray.
    They look like this:

I carry a small leatherman multi tool. It has a pair of realy good scissors plus I use the needle nose for hook bending and removal. I couldn't live without this little thing. I've already wore one out and thier guaranteed for life. The one I have now is the new Juice CS4, but its close to $60. Nice gift from the wife. I wish I could buy one for all my peeps...
This only my opinion, but nothing you can say will change my mind. That makes it a FACT.

Today is a Blessed Day and a Prosperous Day
