Whiteside lake

Does anyone fish whitside lake near silex? I have fished it quite a few times but every time its 2-3 10"-12" crappie and all the rest 12"-16" lgmouth. Never caught more than 3 craps but all i have caught have been nice.

I fished it a couple times but not for crappie. My farm is on the far end of Highway Z and I drive through Whiteside when I go back to O'Fallon during the week. I might hit it some evenings this year, but I typically don't have good luck on small lakes when it comes to crappie. Have you ever tried Logan Lakes down the road? I don't know if they have crappie and I haven't fished them in years. Just something to check out if you're curious. They are pretty well bank fishing lakes.

Only fished logan years ago. we did catch some pretty nice bluegill though no crappie.I generally take out a little squarebac
