    Default Cold crappie

I had a chance to go and despite the temps couldn't talk myself out of it. Fished 3 hours and fingers started bothering me bad so I listened to the warning signs and went to the ramp. Only one there, steady 32 degrees. Wasn't bad til the wind got to about 8 or 10 steady and then there was no comfort. First drop caught a fish, second drop got the big un. 2 lb and 15 inches, 1.7 and 1.4 were the better fish today, and a couple of green fish showed up too. Lots of throwbacks and a fun day overall. I know everyone can't get out so I tried to make a good show for y'all. A little sunshine would have made a big difference but it stayed hidden. Get out when you can, they're still eating. Didn't notice the water temps, found em in 20 to 25 fow. Thanks for looking.

With fish like that you can bare a little pain. Nice job I know its hard to fish that way and keep your hands warm. Almost impossible

worth the pain, good job on realizing it is time to go to the ramp, I use them little heat packs the toss in the trash, biodegradable hot hands things, keeps my hands warm all day, just slip them in the pouch of my sweat shirt, and warm all day, glad you got a mess of fish, make a good supper.

good mess Skeet. I've been in NW MO for the past 2 weeks visiting family so haven't gone. Getting back on the water this week to see what they're doing here. Water is hard up there.
