Default Basic Boating Knots Made Easy

I ran across this article about boat knots and thought it might be helpful to some.

Pretty good description there. All I gotta do is throw my rope in the boat and it comes out as one hekuva knot.

Raised in scouts, and Dad had a library of pertinent books. Among them was a Sea Scout Manual. Learned a lot of knots over the winters from that book, think I still have it. Forgot a lot of them, but use the ones in the first link enough to remember them. Book even taught you how to make a Turks knot, popular as a key chain fob lately. Never got to that one.
