Default Truman 12/7 cold weather crappie and some ice

Went on another trip with Kaz and his friend Jerry this am, quite cold to start with, and I found out quickly with braided line and 20 degree water don't mix well, line was freezing, tip and 3 eyes back freezing, did find out I speak two languages very well, English and Profanity........ Had big slabs coming in the boat in front of me, big ones coming in behind me and here I am with dam line I couldn't get to go down, frozen to rod, I sure took a butt whippin with this going on, finally either my hot temper or the weather give me a break and my line thawed a bit, and then slabs starting appearing at the middle of the boat, You know they acted like they enjoyed me being down..... pretty sure we had at least 3 limits at one spot and the best 7 were between 9 and 10 pounds, we weighed a few and threw back quite a few that were as bigger or even a tad bigger....... lot fun to catch crappie this size and dodge duck hunters bb's at the same time..... 15' fow down about 11' blue/white orange head, capps coleman charthead, worked all day long...... thanks Jerry and Kaz for the spanking, I shall return..........:D

We do not want the gift of a fish; neither do we expect a lesson on fishing; what we direly need is a chance to fish

Sounds like an aggravating time Monty....but you fought through it and didn't let them fellers whoop up on you too bad.
