Glad to hear you found some, guess ole mitch was missed today.....??? I always like help loading and unloading........ they need a tram at the ramp for us old and lazy types..........
Had the day off, slight wind, tolerable temps......... head to Truman. Got there at 1130 or so, not a single rig in the parking lot, never seen that before. Fished till about 330 and did ok, didn't find the big numbers others have been finding but caught enough to stay warm; kept enough for a nice dinner but threw most back. Never saw another boat the whole time I was there, kinda nice.
Caught them in cedars and hedge, caught a few in 12 fow +/- but had the best luck between 14 & 18 fow. All were caught 10-15 feet down. Black over pink with a pink head did a little better than black over chartruese with a chartruese head. The boy was in school so fished alone and had to do twice the work; was worn out after just unloading the boat, man that's a job for one person.
Anyways, a fine fine day to be on the water, a little nippy but not too bad and nothing an extra layer of clothes couldn't handle. It was fun.
Good fishing all.
We do not want the gift of a fish; neither do we expect a lesson on fishing; what we direly need is a chance to fish

Thanks OSS and bugman, it was fun. And yes, mitch was missed, I do the driving and he handles the boat on and off the trailer. We got a nice little system down, it is a lot tougher when your boat man is in biology class 100 miles away!

Sounds like you enjoyed the day and congrats on the dinner.
Health nuts are going to feel stupid someday, lying in hospitals dying of nothing.

It looked to be a beautiful day for fishing. Little to zero wind is hard to find this time of the year. Glad you got out and caught a few.

Congrats on a good day and having the lake to yourself.
Got to love those days off!!
