    Default Note to self

When taking the exhaust plugs out of the propeller to improve hole shot. Only remove one at a time.

I purchased a propeller a couple years ago that has removable plastic plugs that pour exhaust gas in front of the blades to allow the propeller to spin up faster, improving hole shot. I made the mistake of taking all four out. Got to Truman Sat. morning, got out past the bouys Crammed the throttle and as soon as the rpm hit 2500, the rpm would shoot up to 6000 with no pushy, pushy. Could only go 7mph. Where did I set the plugs? On my tool bench 95 miles south.

Fished the main lake north of Bucksaw. Took a couple of nice ones off the channel edge in front of the willows. They weren't biting fast hit a couple coves out of the wind and hit 'em 8-12 feet in 8 - 16 fow. Blue & white. Orange and Char. Late in the day 8 ft. in open water. Came home with 30 eaters. Anything over 11" went back.

My oldest is getting better at Jig fishin'. He says he enjoyed yesterday with the 20mph constant blow & 36 degrees, so he must like it.

Three of the four plugs are back in the prop and I have the other in the glove box.
Had to ask my wife to help me remove my crainium from my posterior when we got home. Took a but big lever but we got it out.

Thanxs to Willaub for some tips to find quantities. Bob is an outstanding individual!

Outstanding job for fighting the wind and staying with it....... I think somewhere in the manual it says to remove prop plugs one at a time.......... but like you I drilled three in my prop one time and only needed one......... I had to put wood dowel pins in the other two.......

gabow some s/s props come with plastic plugs in the exhaust end, note: some do some do not, then you can remove them to help your power end.... or like I done you can drill your own, I drilled my own and it isn't easy to do..... takes a good bit to drill s/s..... but it can help if you control the amount you let out.......
