I just have a Lowrance LCX-17m on the back right now. I am thinking I need to get one for the trolling motor. Do most of you run two units on your boat?

If I only one it would be on the trolling motor........ but like most I run one at front and one at drivers side..........
A FISH IN THE PAN IS WORTH TWO IN THE LAKE
Like Monty said if only one it would be at trolling motor. I have a Lowrance HDS 5 with Lake Insight mapping in my dash that all it does is stay on the GPS mapping screen for watching trails when running up the narrow areas of Truman. Then I have a Lowrance 510C up on trolling motor with transducer built into trolling motor. Next spring I will be upgrading to the Lowrance downscan with GPS on the trolling motor.

HD-8 on console, 510 c on the front...Mercury 150 on the back
If I only had one it would be on the trolling motor. I have an HDS on the trolling motor and HDS in the middle, ETEC in the back.:D
If you have only one have one set up with gps would you want it at the driver's area or at the trolling motor? Does any one use a hand held one while driving or are you better off with a mounted locator? If i would buy a new unit with down scan and gps i would want it on the trolling motor but that wouldn't help with the gps while driving the boat. Now i see why beagleman has one for driving and one at the trolling motor.
