When it's good we catch large numbers to keep a limit (20). Great fun catching alot and if you don't eat many it's great you release them to fight another day.
Before you all beat me up about the number, I catch and release mainly. Every now and then I cook some big ones. The biggest today was 1 pound 6 ounces! Nice black crappie for South Jersey! I did let him go so he can get bigger. Here he is!

Thanks NIMROD. Yeah I catch and release mostly. The wife can't take eating fish everyday! lol. So every now and then I bring some home to snack on!
That's good catchin' anywhere! What are the DOD Ponds?
Don't outsmart your common sense!

Way to go! And yes, mostly practice catch and release, BUT it is a license to keep AFEW, that after all is what "selective harvest" means...ya` doned goot! Enjoy those you harvested!
Well, I release em, when they're under 9",
As for the others, they do give me a warm feeling,
right down in my tummy

Nice fish. You don't look anything like Iaconelli. lol Do you fish from a belly boat or wade, I noticed the waders. Sounds like a good day at the lake.
