    Default Truman 11/24

Fished from the quarry to Otter Creek from 1:30 to 4:30. Caught 20, kept none. The fish were 4 feet deep next to wood in 8 to 10 feet of water. Used a Zonker, green and chartruse with a pink head. Someday soon I will take a picture of my self designed lure and post it. It is definitely a big fish catcher. Happy Thanksgiving to all who use this site.

Congrats on a good trip. Is your bait a hair zonker or just a name for a plastic bait? I tie some and have used some rabbit zonker strips. Seems the Kiptail is a hot one on Truman right now. I hope to get out again before surgery and try a few big Kiptail jigs that I tied up this weekWe had some tornado warnings and severe thunderstorm warning this afternoon in the Truman, Stockton and Pomme areas.

Thanks for the report. Glad you caught some. Did the wind lay any this afternoon.

Wind was not a problem. It rained for a short period, but looked bad enough that I didn't want to hang in. All in all a great afternoon to fish. Come to think of it all afternoons are great to fish.
