    Default Wally Marshall

From (2) of the most reliable sources, I understand the relationship between Wally Marshall and Bass Pro will be ending January 1, 2011 after several sucessfull years for both parties.

I am sure the "Mister Crappie" signature products will not disappear forever. Wally will eventually have a complete line of products to offer soon after the agreement ends. Wally's products have been too sucessfull to just go away. I have supported his products for several years and his signature items have been a major portion of our product line. Many of my customers will only use his "Tightline Special poles. Along with Mr. Crappie HI-VIS line, his Crappie Counter has been one of our best selling items.

On the other hand, do not think for one minute that Bass Pro will get out of the crappie fishing tackle business all together. I understand the 2011 catalogue is coming soon with some replacement items. Certainly, these products will be acceptable for our fishermen. Based on past experience, we know Wally's new products will be "Top of The Line".

I am looking forward to seeing the products from both sources.

I wish the best of luck to my friend Wally.

    Bass Pro & wally.
Here in Ohio I think the Bass Pro shops are trying to just handle more of there own brand stock. it started with jigs & tails. Everything is tournament brand now. It may hurt them in the long run.

I just hope Wally goes back to having his mono line made here in the USA (like the spool I have). I've "heard" (here on the site) that the new "China made" line is not as good. Those reports were enough for me to consider changing brands, to Vicious or Suffix, once my Mr Crappie Super Hi-vis 4lb mono is used up.

    I'm jus' sayin' ....
