    Default Windy Friday

Smedley, Well, I had the boat rigged up and everything on board. I decided to drive to Wally World in Killeen and noticed how bad I was being whipped around and how bad the Trunk Monkey was being beat up so I decided to back out. I may go Sunday now. How'd the interview go? I stopped by Cabelas this morning in Buda and they have a tent sale going on, I guess they are trying to liquidate their inventory. Lots of Bibs, jackets and such. I walked out with a pair of boots. Later, TF

I think I'm staying home this weekend, believe it or not. I need to work on the boat a little and my wife has some stuff tat she needs to do. If we get done with the stuff we need to do, I might make it sunday PM.

the interview went ok. didn't get a warm fuzzy over it though. won't know anything until at least Monday.

I saw on the cabela's site that they had the tent sale going on. I hate it when they have the big sales when I'm broke. I've pretty much gone thru my fishing tackle allowance for a while. I did p/u a clearance rod yesterday at Wally world and a few bass baits that were marked a buck.

there's a couple of tourneys taking out of Cedar ridge on sunday so you might have some boat traffic up there.

Yeah, I know it's going to be cold, but I really was disappointed not going on Friday. I will wait and see what the wind is like and then decide. I guess you can say I have ants in my pants and Momma doesn't seem to mind. I actually thought about going to stillhouse and see what's happening there since I am a little more familiar with the Lampass/bridge. The only thing bad about where I fish on stillhouse is that there is no way to get out of the wind. Take Care, TF

Withit being this windy I'd stay off Stillhouse. Your boat is better in the wind than mine but still.....

i went out to the BLORA dock last night for a couple of hours. No fish caught by anybody the whole time I was there. I figured with the wind blowing into it all day the shad would be in there....NOPE! I almost stopped by your house on the way but it would have been a huge waste of time for two people instead of one. I'm guessing that you have the only red tracker with a bunch of jeeps in the front of the house in your neighborhood!

Have a good time if you get to go. the wife is in Austin today so I am on daddy duty. If she gets home in time i might come out for a little while.

Sounds like you found my house. I did go and at least I didn't get skunked. I caught three LMB, but no Craps. I went up in the creek and worked my way back with no luck. Too windy out by the honey hole. I then found a mess of something on the finder and dropped anchor near the boat launch towards the creek. They may have been whites. One of the Bass was around 4 lbs or so. He was definitely a good fight. Funny though, when I go fish for crappie, I catch bass, when I bass fish, I catch nothing. LOL, Take Care, TF
