    Default Pre-Winter Fishing

I got out and enjoyed the Ohio Pre-Winter weather this week. On Thursday the Jig-Bite was Awesome. Water temp was 52-deg in the morning.

I had a limit before noon and the rest was just sorting through for bigger keepers.

I ended up with some real nice filets.

Went back on Friday and the bite had slowed a bit. I tried a few different colors and they liked this one.

    and this one.

I planned on giving this catch to a friend since I had plenty from yesterday. I ran into Roy and his friends at the boat ramp. They asked how I did and I told them. They didn't fare as well. They had only got 3 crappies. I loaded up all my stuff and was heading out when I asked if Roy would like a few fish. He brought his bucket and we filled it up with my 30 limit. Roy was tickled and said he and his buddies would share and all 3 would have a fine meal. Roy was proud to point out that he was a Vietnam Veteran.

You're the man, NP. That's the way to share. Good catch, nice whites. We didn't do as well but had a good time just the same.

With jigs like those, no wonder you caught a good mess. Did you make all these yourself? Great pictures, especially liked the 2nd one. Good looking assortment of back ups in the ziplock. Helping another angler out with a good mess of fish will make his day. Great post!
