Glad you had a good trip, and caught good fish, you had 3 good folks on your side.
Well as oft times is said "all good things must come to an end". So it is with our trip to Grenada Lake. Our orginal plans were to stay until the end of the month, but stuff happens and today I busted the top off of my trolling motor. That kind of puts an end to the slow trolling.
As I said in an earlier post, my wife for some unknown reason always seems to catch the largest fish. Well yesterday she did it again. She caught what WB says is a real hawg. After a day in the cooler it measured 16 1/4 inches long and weighed 3lbs 1 1/2 oz. It was orginally headed for table fare but thanks to a suggestion from WB we decided to mount it. I guess she cheated because she caught it dragging a minnow under a bobber.
We want to give a very very special thanks to WB, BigggerJigger, and Vick. I do not have the words to express our sincere appreciation for what they have done to make our trip an event that we will shall never forget.
Thanks to all and GOD bless each and every one of you and your families.

It was a good trip for you all for sure. Had good people to help you out along the way to. That is always a plus. As for the 3+ lb fish that is worthy of the wall for sure. Now you have to raise funds for taxidermy and trolling motor repair. Congrats on a successful trip with memories to last you both a lifetime.
Everytime i leave Grenada i do so with a tear in my eye.......

WOW what a hog! I dream of a fish like that someday! Bummer on the motor
My boat is really not rigged properly for slow trolling. I had some old drift master rod holders from many years ago so I mounted one on the front center of the boat to hold the rods. As I was lowering the trolling motor to start fishing the control cable caught on the rod holder and it just proceeded to bust the top off the trolling motor.
