That temp should be fine.
to keep minnows. my 55 gal barrel seems to want to stay at 68 deg's. i'm going to start buying some minnows. thought i'd start with a couple doz to break-in the water before loading up. what your experience with temp been?
That temp should be fine.
Should work good, 68-72 doesn't get more ideal
I use a 25 gal plastic drum and keep minnys in it all summer just need to keep aerorator on it and a good filter and best to use rainwater - which I collect in another 55 gal drum from the gutter. I keep mine in the barn out back and summertime water can get to the 80's but they dont mind. Most important thing is keep the water circulating. Just remember them minnys in the creek water arn't any cooler in the summer and they do just fine.
good to know about your set up. picked up another 55gal barrel for rainwater. my well water is a littlle acidic and i'm struggling to keep my minnows alive for long periods of time.
Temp is about good as long as its in the 65 to 73 range, just remember they are cold blooded
Just for information. The well water that minnow farmers use come out pf the ground at 52 to 54 degrees.

I keep my minnows right around 52 degrees. the cooler temperatures keep the minnows comfortable, and reduces infections, etc. here's a link below to my project using a small chest freezer that I converted and added a Johnson temperature control unit. Just let me know if you have any questions.
