If you had it to do over again would you spend the extra to get the US2 on your minn kota? I like the idea behind it but I would like to hear some input from US2 use on it?

I have had a us2 for two years maby longer and I really like it, its accurate, easy to use on several defferent depth/fish locators. have not had one complaint about it. I think it is worth owning. and I have had both kinds, this is the third in a series of electric steer trolling motors and the best in my opinion.

Yes, I have it on my Terrova and it's a much cleaner install than trying to rig something that may work.

I wish I had it on mine. After twisting a transducer cable in half, I would have almost been money and grief ahead.

    Yes, it's worth it.

    Positives:
    Cleaner install.
Less worries about twisting or snagging the cable.

    Negatives:
You're stuck with that ducer, no option for wider beam, narrower, SI etc.
The cost to repair if it goes out is way more than a new transducer and you have to have a MK ASC do the work.

Overall, it's worth it, but if it goes out, it's not worth it to repair.

The biggest disadvantages of it is that it has only a 14° cone and does not support speed and temperature.
