    Default Mullet story

I was at the spillway for about two hours today, not far from the launch. Water I was in was shallow. I had just snagged my fly, so I paddled into shallow water to retrieve it.

While I was checking the hook, a giant mullet flew out of the water and hit me in the back of the head, and somehow got stuck in my jacket hood. I finally threw him over my shoulder and he landed on a life presever, was flipping around.

Stunk up my jacket really bad.

    Never thought that would happen.

Just payback for the Flor-a-Bama mullet toss each year!! Smoked mullet is definitely "good eats".

You bet! Smoked is my favorite. My dad was a fan of mullet roe and fresh fried mullet.

interesting, I never ate one, but I think I would let a fish go that was brave enough to attack a grown man, bad tempered fish you got there..

it hit him in the mullet. probably jealous because his mullet was bigger than the mullet that hit him in the mullet.

Caught one in Destin by accident in a cast net. I hear they taste good but I had to set some hair on fire to get the smell of that thing out of my nose.
