Results for Clarks Hill 11/6/2010
I haven't been home long enough to get everything uploaded to the website yet, but I wanted to post the results and say THANK YOU to everyone who came out to compete in the 1st tournament of the new season. The weather was brutal for pre-fishing. The weather did cooperate on tournament day with partly cloudy skies, lows around 30 and highs around 50, winds varied but not much over 10mph (big improvement over Friday and earlier in the week). Most of the better quality crappie were caught tight to wood structure in 10-20 FOW and a variety of jigs usually tipped with a minnow. Slow trolling or pushing to keep the baits in the zone was crucial. Water temps stayed around 60 most all over the lake. Water clarity was clear to a light stain. Clarks Hill is a huge body of water with lots to offer for any style fishing you prefer. These anglers employed every tactic they had in the box to pull it out on tournament day. The weights between the top 5 made for a very close weigh-in. Congrats to the winners!- 9.53 lbs D. Smith & B. McWaters
- 9.52 lbs D. Fulton & M. Berry
- 8.47 lbs S. Sprayberry & A. Sprayberry
- 8.41 lbs T. Werkin & R. Wallace
- 8.39 lbs R. Fry & J. Fry
Big Fish (crappie) was 2.29 lbs by R. Fry & J. Fry
Look foward to seeing everyone down at Lake Talquin on December 4th
