Okay, guys and gals, time for a little change of scenery. Next weekend's (11/13)tournament will be on the Beech River Watershed Lakes. Participants may fish any of the 7 BRWDA Lakes (Beech, Cedar, Dogwood, Pin Oak, Pine, Redbud, and Sycamore) in and around Lexington. Fishing begins at 7:00 AM, with weigh-in at 3:00 PM on the parking lot of the Lexington Wal-Mart (on Hwy. 412, just East of Beech Lake).

All anglers between the ages of 13 and 65 must purchase a BRWDA Lakes Permit ($3). Permits for all lakes except Pin Oak can be purchased at most local bait/tackle shops. For those of you unfamiliar with the area, permits are available at Anderson's Tackle Shop (on Hwy. 412, just West of the Intersection with Hwy. 104). Permits for Pin Oak Lake must be purchased at the Pin Oak Lodge (Natchez Trace State Park), and are available only at this location.

We have discussed that there is no size limit on the crappie from these lakes (creel limit is 30). However, the TWRA Fishing Guide does not indicate such. I know, for certain, that there is no size limit for crappie on Pin Oak. However, the Fishing Guide does not address the absence of a size limit on the other lakes. I will contact TWRA on Monday, confirm, and let everyone know.

Hope to have a really good turnout for this tourney. It will be intersting to see what sort of stringers the different lakes produce. See you all next weekend!!!
