    Default Weightless jigs

I have been tying some jigs on #6 gold hooks without weight and they are great! Tie them just like a normal jig, but on a plain hook. I usually tie on three different colors, and fish in 10-12 foot. They are deadly on suspending fish. Just dip them in the water to get the feathers wet or they float, then give them a toss and they fall so slow that those big slabs can't resist. They also work great for dropshotting.

I think you got a good idea going on there - just wondered though,
when does it stop being a jig, and start being a fly? Long as the fish
bite it though, I wouldn't worry too much about what it's called.

Sounds like you're tying flys. We do very well on bluegills with small flys. - - Roberta

I guess you could call them flys, but... they look just like jigs.

Well, like I said, long as the fish bite. Don't pay too much attention to me
and my rambling - I spend way too much time on questions like "Why is
the hot water faucet on the left?" :D
