Very well, in my experience. I've never ordered from Bass Pro, but I assume they use the same sturdy shipping tubes that Cabelas's uses. I've never had a problem getting rods shipped to me, no matter who the shipper was.

They come in sturdy cardboard tubes, no problem.

Last I ordered from Monk, they came in a triangle shaped carton and made the trip well. Last from Cabelas came in a PVC tube. Never had an issue sending or receiving a rod. The key is to buffer the ends with packing material so it doesn't slide around in there. Monk used bubble wrap and I think Cabelas used foam. Both were fine. Never ordered from BPS, so I can't say about them.

I would look at Monk's before I bought from BPS.

I have never had a problem with rods being shipped. I used to work in a tackle store and 99.9% of the rods arrive fine. If they come in a tube or PVC, be carefull removing them. I have pulled off an eye or two taking them out in a hurry.

I've shipped many BnM poles out as prizes here on Crappie.com and have never had an issue. I've been shipping them out, about a dozen a year, for the last 3-4 years. Not a single issue.

2 pc. rods are never an issue, 1pc....another story, I had 4 broken tips last year untill I figured out how to pack them. You have to leave part of the rods poly tubing out one end then cap it in between the cap & tube. This prevents an impact from jamming the rod to one end and fracturing / braking them. Zero broken rods since...
