    How much longerthe closer we get to winter can you expect to catch crappie any where in the Show Me State.

    Can catch them up until the point the lake freezes over. Winter can be one of the best times to catch crappie. They will stack up and you can catch some very fast limits once you find them.

    as long as it doesn't freeze over and even then if you can get to them they are still hitting good, all winter long....... we have went many times when it is 15 degrees, line and rod tip freeze, but still fun as long as the wind isn't too bad.........

    I enjoy winter better than spring, very few nuts out there and cold is a state of mind. and insulated underwear

    Yep all winter long, winter is a great time to fish. Most others will be at home while you are catching a lot of fish.

    Ditto,all winter long if ya can find open water...mine run smaller in the very cold weather,but so do I

    love fishin in winter,cept I'm on the lower mo river lookin for blues. but I'm gonna try crappies this winter. (I said that last year)
