Just north of you is Indian Lake, it can be fun in the winter. I make one or two trips a year.
Just a little fatrher south on the southern border, I always hope we can skip that nasty stuff.
Hello, to all I am new to the area living in Beavercreek OH, It looks like I'm just in time for the Fall fishing season so when I can Ill be running to hit the lakes. How is the Ice Fishing in the area (of course when the Ice can support it)?

Many good area lakes, including CJ Brown, aka "Lake Erie South", 700+ fish attractors 30 days to 1 1/2 yr old, soon to be joined by 300 more...Good luck and BE SAFE!
thanks to the warm welcome and to those who responded. I am looking forward to pulling out some great finned fun out of the ohio water way's, and then share my experiances with the great community here at crappie.com.
Im bout the only one willing to admit i like ice fishing, and i do take some friendly flack for it. LOL(ice is a bad word around here)
Indian lake and buckeye lake are good saugeye lakes, and get a good bit of ice fishing.
I also fish alot of lakes that few if any ever ice fish (acton lake, rush run, Ceasers Creek ect)
Indian lake is probably your best bet. It will ice up first, maintain good ice through-out the season, and offers a wide variety of fish to seek.
