    I USSUALLY SPIDER RIG WITH 16 FT. BnM PRO STAFF TROLLING RODS BUT AM WANTING TO START FISHING DEEPER WITH 3/4 TO 1 OZ.ON BOTTM IN 25FT.+.WHAT KIND OF RODS DO YOU USE FOR THIS.THANK FOR ANY HELP

    Going that deep I would be comfortable with a 10 footer I think I have fished some really nice rods that have a stiffer backbone than most and would be great for alot more heavy weight and those are the new Quantam Todd Huckabee Sig series pulling rods they would be what I would consider These are pretty new so I dont know if they are on the entire marketplace yet

    i got two rods i use drift fishing in the deep channels. 9 ft ugly stick spinning rods, rated for 4-20 lb line and the ugly stick striper specials. 14 lb main lines with leaders made of 10 lb test. if you hang a hook with these rigs you usually get it back, using the gold eagle claws. both rods will handle up to a 2 oz sinker and still have tips sensitive enough to see the bite of a crappie in deep water.
