I heard that Lowrance will be coming out with Down Image only in Janurary..This would be perfect for an old brush pile caster & jigger...

Is it true?? What about HB??

I got an email from them and they are comming out with one down scan built in the HD 5 early next year. it's true, check out there web site.

Humminbird has announced their DI only units will be out in January. I've not heard anything about Lowrance.

Caught 15 on Tuesday & had a great day Wednesday & lost count..We had some nice fish...The new couple we met cleaned the fish & we had a fish fry Wednesday night...I think they took some pictures...I hope so..They won't be going home until Tuesday...

Don G, congratulations on the fish. Was curious, you served with HS- 3 (Tridents?) was with HS- 11 (Dragonslayers) at Jacksonville, Fla `78- `81, was a "hanky folder" (PR- aviation life support) Where was HS-3 stationed then and what was your MOS? We had SH-3G and H models.

yes they will be with the elite series of finders BUT it will not have traditional 2d sonar. On the other hand hummingbird announced the same thing in new models coming out in Jan and they will have the down scan and 2d sonar also with some models having gps.
