    Default Osage River fishing

Fished all day on the Osage. The fish were biting. It is really low and clear. could see 7ft. without a problem. Could watch fish chase your lure. This is the lowest it has been all summer and fall. It has been like this for 9 days. If you didn't have a jet you wouldn't go very far. We put in a 1 boat ramp and ran the river up to the next and then fished our way back down. Saw 4 eagles also. And to make it official I caught 1 crappie on a big ole bass lure.

We put in at Pikes Camp out of Wardsville and ran the river up to St. Thomas and fished our way back down. But the river was very low and had to have a jet to get up there. We love fishing that stretch of river and with the water down nobody bothering you. As a bonus we also saw 4 bald eagles. We usually see a pair in 1 specific section of that river and they were there.
