well i did manage to get one. i got a 7 by 4 he had his main beam broken on the far side he was a heck of a fighter all scared up. he even hada broken antler in his main beam from a later fight after he had broken his horns. was a beast. i got tons of pictures i will have to upload some and show yall. thing weighed over a 1000lbs scale maxed at 1000. needless to say there is a ton of fresh meat to be eaten this winter. hoping to make it to dar bone i got me a new spider rig and cant wait to try it out. oh by golly i know i will be at darbone even if i have to cancel the texas hunt i think i have plenty of meat.

Congrats on the kill. I've taken several driving trips through the west and saw lots of elk, mule deer, and antelope and thought what fun it would be to go back there hunting, but just haven't had a chance yet. Half a ton (plus) of elk is quite a beast. Look forward to some pics.
