    Default hi-tec rod holder question

I just discovered saugeye last weekend and I'm going to start throwing some saugeye fishing in with crappie fishing but with drifting while you fish for saugeye how do the hi tec rod holders do for drifting for big fish like saugeye and hybrid stripers and other large species of fish?
    thanks Crappie Josh aka C.J.

A lot like the old Wannabe... except with fewer bad words. And Karate chop action. But, yes, still purtier than you.

I think callshy even makes hi teks with a bigger rod seat for trollin for larger fish. If your vertical trollin/ spiderriggin, the normal ones will work just fine. If you are longline trollin and hook onto a monster fish i could see the rod maybe coming out but if you get the new line callshy is makin the prob is solved. I have floats on all my rods incase they come out anyway.

My tournament partner is a rod and real catfish guide here on Truman and LOZ and he loves my Hi-Tek's. He has used them several times now to try and prove they are not heavy enough to take the abuse and or the rods would not hold in the racks. He is done trying now and getting ready to order his own setup now for his guide boat.
