2-4-2006 Tournament Results

Our Tournament on 2-4-2006 was a great success. We ended up with 12 teams competing for $600.00 in prize money, some nice trophy plaques, and bragging rights for Lake Houston’s best winter crappie fishermen. The competition was fierce with some of The Lake Houston areas top crappie fishermen and a couple of experienced tournament teams from the East Texas Crappie Club. A great time s was had by all, and all of us guys who started the Bayou City Crappie Club a year ago are extremely proud of just how much the club has progressed over the last year. Congratulations to all the winners!!!


We would like to thank all of the people who volunteered to help at the tournament and fish fry. Pat yourself on the back for a job well done. This was truly a group effort. The food at the fish fry was awesome, especially the beans.

We are also where very happy that 2 teams from the East Texas Crappie Club, including their president and vice-president, where able to attend. Not only did they do well on a new lake they also pitched in and helped out with the weigh-in. Glenn, Ron, Shannon and Greg we are really glad to get to know you more, and we are looking forward to future events that our clubs can share in.

Now it is time to look forward to our next Tournament we have 4 weeks to get everything ready. Expect an even bigger turnout. We learn a little more at each one of these tournaments, so there will be some minor changes to the rules and the way we run the tournament, but these will only make it better.
