Do a search on "longling". There have been quite a few posts on the subject. The main thing I have found is that it is important to have the right speed, .8 to 1.2, right depth in the water column, use zero lead to 3 #5. Adujst until you find the fish. Follow the other boats until you figure out why they are in a specif area.
I could go on and on, but trial and error is an important factor. Don't give up, it's a great way to catch crappie.
