Cool I found a new place to fish today

A guy asked me the other day if I had ever fished a pond on the Saline County Fair grounds, I had never heard of it. Decided to check it out today and caught a lot of fish, crappie and FAT blue gills in just 30 min.
And it's only 1 mile from my house

Sounds like this little lake is a little more productive than the other one you fish up there. I use to have a little lake like that real close to the house when I lived in Appleton City. Was nice if I had an hour or two I could be out there in minutes and fish for a while. Congrats on the find hope it produces some good fish for you.

Well I can't fry'em if I didn't keep them, I was "told" that it was open to the public, I wanna check the facts on that, then them gills are going into the grease next time!
No signs or anything, so I assume state wide regulations apply.

Very nice wish I had a place that close to fish at. Sure sounds like a great place.

Rugs, great post and fun stuff, that's a great find. Had one of those in Iowa when up there and miss it.
