sounds like a few for next year, glad you and your dad got a day on the water, them days are alway, well most always a good day despite catching keepers or not. congrats.
The crappie are biting very well on the bank. The bad news... they all measure about 8 in. Put in at Flat Creek this afternoon about 3 with my dad, and headed up river. About 10 casts and 6 crappie, all short. Wasn't discouraged, just glad there was a bite on. Thought we might try the mouth, and maybe some better size there. NOPE! Caught about 15 in the end, a bunch of bluegill, and several kentuckys.(All of which were well fed.) Never fished water deeper than 13ft. and 1 1/2 sliders were the weapon of choice. All in all it was cool to get out with dad even if the crappie were short.
