    Default removing a rod grip

Maybe someone out there has some experience in rod building and can tell me how to remove the handle without damaging it, or if this is even possible.

    Default Step-by-step instructions

with photos are on page 98 of the February issue of Bassmaster magazine. The trick is softening the epoxy so you can remove the old grip without damaging the rod. They suggest submersing it inboiling water, but read the whole thing before you go monkeying around with a rod you really like.

Jann's Netcraft also has books and supplies on rod building and repair. http://www.jannsnetcraft.com
