Mark Twain 8/14

Had another beautiful trip to Mark Twain today, weather was just a little on the cool side ( sweatshirt was just fine ) Put in around 10:30 am and went to Shell Branch again, caught 7 keepers in the first 30 minutes, after that It took probably an hour to find more fish but then I started catching them regularly, wound up with a limit by 1:00 pm. Most the fish were 10 incher had a few larger, so I threw one back and started trying for bigger fish, wound up with 1 15 inch, 3 12 inchers and two 11 inchers the rest were mostly 10's. Fish were 11 feet down, water was 66.8 and I was using minnows.

Hit Twain Saturday. Spent too much time hitting spots from previous weekend, but eventually got on a few in some new spots. Ended up with a couple 13 inchers and 8 others over 9.5-12 inches. Slip bobbers weren't working so good since they were hugging the bottom, so I had to use the long poles and drop to the bottom around 12-15 feet down and then bring it up off the bottom 6-12 inches. The fish I caught this weekend were bigger this week than the previous week.
