    who makes a good weight forward line for a 4-5wt reel?

    Rio, Scientific Anglers, and Cortland all make good lines. You can't go wrong with any of them.

    I think Bass Pro and Cabela's lines are both made by Sci Anglers.

    Home. For years I'v been purchasing their factory 2nds line (9.99) and can't beat the quality. These are expense top lines but 2nds - you may or maynot notice the 2nd. I fish alot and put my line through alot of use. I change line every year at that price. Try some u won't be sorry.

    You also might want to look into Hook and Hackle's Hi-Floater lines. I have compared them apples to apples with SA, Rio and some "house brands" like Albright and Redington and in my opinion it will outfloat any of them.
