Default Thank you Brushman. Big day at Smithville.

Rodney if it wasn't for your post yesterday I would have went to work today. i Went up river to find those big slabs. Took all day but I caught 6 that were over 14 inchs. My 7 best weighed 9 lb 2 oz. I ended up with 11 keepers. Birddogs was also up there and had 14 i think. It was wet but it was fun. Would like to go one more time before they shut it down.

A gun, like any other source of power, is a force for either good or evil, being neither in itself, but dependent upon those who possess it

Way to go KC ,takes a little while to get up there but well worth it. How deep were you fishing . Bugs the last few years has been really good up here but you have to go up river to get them and most people wont do that , to many trees and stumps also I think with them closing waterfowl area it may help the fishing up there not as much pressure.
May all your live wells be full.

I don't know what anyone else's opinion is on the subject, but I think Smithville has gotten a LOT better over the past two years, and I think it is continuing to improve.

Got a bad rap for "dinkville" and for good reason...especially on the main lake and especially the black crappie. But I seem to remember Jake (MOfishmgr) talking about his spring samplings and predicting that this lake was gonna be HOT.

I think he was spot on, and I for one appreciate all their efforts.

Props to you, KC Crappie....hope you get some more before the 15th!
