Nice job Kc let's see some pics of them hogs
Rodney if it wasn't for your post yesterday I would have went to work today. i Went up river to find those big slabs. Took all day but I caught 6 that were over 14 inchs. My 7 best weighed 9 lb 2 oz. I ended up with 11 keepers. Birddogs was also up there and had 14 i think. It was wet but it was fun. Would like to go one more time before they shut it down.
Feel the thump, hear the drag.

A gun, like any other source of power, is a force for either good or evil, being neither in itself, but dependent upon those who possess it
From an old movie I saw
WOW those are impressive weights anywhere in the state of Mo.......didn't realize smithville had fish like that, has it always had fish of that quality?

good job fellas, getm while youn can because friday it will get alot tougher. i wanted to get out one more time but work is going to get in the way.
Way to go KC ,takes a little while to get up there but well worth it. How deep were you fishing . Bugs the last few years has been really good up here but you have to go up river to get them and most people wont do that , to many trees and stumps also I think with them closing waterfowl area it may help the fishing up there not as much pressure.
May all your live wells be full.Dave
Thanks Dave, man if it wasn't so far i'd like to give it a try sounds like things are awful good up there this year.

Nice fish indeed,,,,I know Dave,,,,"i told you so".
I don't know what anyone else's opinion is on the subject, but I think Smithville has gotten a LOT better over the past two years, and I think it is continuing to improve.
Got a bad rap for "dinkville" and for good reason...especially on the main lake and especially the black crappie. But I seem to remember Jake (MOfishmgr) talking about his spring samplings and predicting that this lake was gonna be HOT.
I think he was spot on, and I for one appreciate all their efforts.
Props to you, KC Crappie....hope you get some more before the 15th!
It has gotten so much better that I almost only go to Truman now 1-2 times a year!!!! It's been a good ride for a while... Lee
